Westbury also lost that day because of the snow days. I have a feeling that a lot of schools might not be off that day. The meet starts approx 10:00... there could be a problem.

Is the Derrick Adkins meet still going to be on April 5th? I don't know about other schools, but Mineola lost that day off because of snow days.

The bottom line is the County class 'A' meet shouldn't have been canceled. We should have waited until the snow started falling before we postponed the meet. As it turns out, minimal snow fell on Long Island and now the State Q's are a mess.

Section VIII was not the reason for the cancellation of the meet. Section 8 had track, swimming, wrestling and bowling championships they were hoping to contest. However, 2 superintendents made the call yesterday to cancel their districts' activities for the weekend. That was teh real deciding factor. Good Luck to all this week :)
